Property

CRAC is dedicated to sustaining high commercial property occupancy by fostering strong tenant relationships, maintaining property conditions, and adhering to governmental regulations.

Social services

CRAC commits to upholding ongoing funding agreements for vital social services by ensuring regulatory compliance, staff qualifications, timely implementation of plans, and fulfillment of reporting requirements.

Arts Centre

CRAC is developing a new initiative through Arts Queensland for multi-year funding to deliver a suite of activities through a Coen Arts Centre between 2024 and 2026.

The Coen Centre for Creative Arts is an initiative aimed to establish an Arts Centre for Coen people. It will lend support from leading Queensland and Australian artist Naomi Hobson who is also a resident of Coen.

CRAC has purchased a freehold block of land in Coen designated for the Coen Arts Centre.

CRAC has prepared site designs and a project cost plan for the Coen Arts Precinct.

The Queensland Government announced a budget allocation of $6.7M. This will complete at least stage 1 of the Art Centre precinct.

CRAC is preparing detailed designs and tender ready documentation. The proposed construction is split into two stages; Stage 1 to build the centre as designed and stage 2 to build the performing arts and residency component of the proposal. 

Plan of Action

From July 2024, CRAC will begin a culturally enriching arts program in Coen to enhance local skills development and community engagement.

By June 2026, CRAC aims to engage at least forty local participants in the arts program and host three separate exhibitions showcasing Coen’s artistic works.

Throughout the program duration, CRAC will identify and support the career development of at least three local artists, ensuring their professional growth within the arts community.
